All our Italian Cookery Schools in Italy are unique in that they are private palazzos or luxury villas that we use exclusively for our cookery courses. We have specially selected them to have at least 5 ensuite-bedrooms, a large kitchen – big enough to accommodate 8 guests easily and to have plenty outside space where guests can relax with a book, or snooze in the sun!
Flavours of Italy have been organising cookery holidays to Italy for the past ten years. And for 2009 we have added a weeklong cooking course in Tuscany as our short breaks to the Tuscan region were proving to be so popular amongst our guests.
If you'd like to have a sneak peak at what a Flavours Italian Cooking Holiday entails, then please visit our Italian Cooking Holiday Films page.

The city of a hundred towers. Even by Italian standards, Bologna has a reputation for 'La Dolce Vita'. The citys reputation as 'Las Grassa' - the fat one - refers to a highly cultured society that appreciates both good and excellent wines! The numerous delicatessens and markets in the city are pure theatre, brimming with charm and atmosphere. Any Flavours break in Bologna is sure to be a true Italian gastronomic experience!

Sicily owes its exotic, colourful flavours and rich heritage to a legacy of many great civilisations vying for control of this beautiful island over the centuries, from Greeks, Moorish empires to the Romans. Just a short distance from mainland Italy, yet a world away. Our Cookery Holidays in Sicily are situated on a beautiful private estate dating back to 1848. The chic Villa Sicily offers a luxurious sun soaked Sicilian atmosphere so when you're not cooking in the kitchen, there's plenty of time to relax and unwind.

Puglia sits at the remote heel of Italy's boot. Our Cooking Holidays are held at the beautiful Casino Pisanelli, this 18th century hideaway is surrounded by acres of Olive groves. The light is bright and clear and the area is awash with seaside colours, which permeate into the way the food of the region is presented with vibrant colours and often a rustic feel to it. The flavours are fantastic!

Guests regularly comment on how "at home" they feel, and how much more relaxed the atmosphere is, than say, staying in a hotel. A typical day at each of the Flavours Italian Cookery Schools will start with a delicious breakfast - usually taken outside on the terrace. Cooking begins around 10.30 and the rest of the morning is spent in the kitchen making lunch. After lunch, there is time to relax before going on an arranged visit. Depending on the venue this could be a private visit to a balsamic vinegar producer, a wine tasting at a local winery, or just the chance to wander around the local town and partake in some people watching in the square with a glass of prosecco.
Flavours Italian Cookery Courses in Italy come in a variety of lengths from a long weekend in Bologna for £849 to a whole week in Puglia for £1,599. All our cookery courses have been tailor-made using our extensive experience - the menus specially selected to reflect the best each region has to offer and also easy to recreate for our guests when they return home. No matter the level of culinary experience - from those unable to boil an egg, to the aspiring Jamie Olivers, all our guests have returned to their kitchens inspired.
