Our Painting Holiday in Sicily Itinerary

Our painting holidays in Sicily are the ultimate creative retreat. Your senses will be overcome with the exotic colours and fantastic light provided by this beautiful island! Our painting holidays to Sicily are proving extremely popular already! At the moment we only have a few places left on the week long painting holiday in Sicily which runs from 24th September till the 1st October.

Sample Itinerary:

Day one (Saturday)
Our Flavours transfer will meet you at Catania Airport and take you to the villa where you can enjoy welcome drinks and dinner.

Day two (Sunday)
After breakfast is your first painting lesson: you will have an introduction to watercolour looking at basic techniques, different kinds of paper, brushes etc Lunch will follow. In the afternoon you will continue painting. Dinner is served at the villa tonight.

Day three (Monday)
Following breakfast, we head for the nearby coastal village where you will have the chance to sketch. A packed lunch will be provided to allow you to maximize your time at the location for sketching. Returning back to the villa mid afternoon. Dinner is prepared for you at the villa.

Day four (Tuesday)
Today we visit the coastal town of Siracusa, do some sightseeing or more sketching, and have lunch in a local restaurant. We then travel to Noto to taste local ice cream at a classic Gelateria. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the villa using fish bought at the famous Siracusa fish market.

Day five (Wednesday)
After breakfast you will have another painting lesson with a demonstration of landscape painting looking at different ways to apply watercolour and mixing media like pastel and coloured pencil. The afternoon is yours to continue painting or relax by the pool. Dinner tonight is served at the villa.

Day six (Thursday)
After breakfast there will be a lesson in the elements of composition and colour. In the afternoon you will go to the stunning town of Ragusa for the chance to sketch on location. Dinner tonight will be at a local trattoria in Ragusa.

Day seven (Friday)
A leisurely morning to spend developing your work. You are then free to paint, relax by the pool or go walking. Farewell dinner at the villa with a group show of your paintings.

Day eight (Saturday)
After breakfast our transfer will take you back to Catania Airport.
