During your Rome Cookery Holiday you'll get the chance to taste several wines from the Rome area. Although they are not as famous as the tuscan or sicilian ones, you'll find out that these wines have centuries of tradition and nothing to be envoius of.

Wines We Recommend

In 2007, 7 wines from the Tuscia Region which is the area of Rome surroundings where our Villa is located have gained the DOC certification and 3 have gained the IGT certification, among them:

• 'Est! Est!! Est!!!' from Montefiascone
• 'Aleatico' di Gradoli, a unique wine made from aleatico grape, very little is producted so it is considered to be a gem
• 'Orvieto' from Castiglione in Teverina, Civitella d'Agliano, Graffignano, Lubriano and Bagnoregio
• 'Colli Etruschi Viterbesi', produced in the region between the sea and Cimini mounts, next to Bolsena and Vico lakes
• 'Vignanello', produced in Vignarello and other areas next to Cimini Mounts where the cultivation of grapes is mixed to hazelnuts
• 'Tarquinia', produced in the Maremma Laziale area
• 'Cerveteri', which has been produced since the etruscan age!!!
